Puppy
Class
This is a 4 week course for puppies 5 months and under. This class teaches how to establish desirable behavior and put an end to undesirable habits while they are still young. Class subjects include potty training, barking too much, chewing, jumping on people, nutrition, grooming and manners. Basic commands such as sit, down and come are also taught. Socialization time is allotted in every class.
Beginners
Obedience
This is a 10 week course teaching how to walk on a slack leash, heel, sit, down, stand for exam, stay and come. All taught under distracting situations. Control off leash is also introduced. Manners and behavioral problems are dealt with using obedience training as a foundation for understanding authority. Students are taught how to make their dog behave in all situations. Reliability under strong distraction is essential for a good companion dog that is a joy both inside and outside of the home.
Novice Class
This 10 week course perfects the off leash work started in Beginners class. Beginners class work will be polished to get the dog and handler ready for obedience competitions should they choose to do so. We also introduce some high jump and retrieval work to mix it up a little.

Classes taught through the park district have a 25 dog maximum and must pay in advance.
